Today, the Pacific County Emergency Management Agency would like to take a moment to reflect on the tragedy unfolding in front of the entire nation. We are observing Tsunami Preparedness Week, and this disaster event should underscore for each resident of Pacific County, the importance of preparing for such an event. It is easy to see, in the face of the unthinkable, that it really is not unthinkable at all.
The Pacific County Emergency Management Agency urges each one of you to be prepared for a Tsunami, or even more importantly , whatever disaster may occur. In addition, we extend our sympathy, our empathy, and our thoughts to all the people in Snohomish County and beyond, touched by the events there.
